By MyFM's Rick Michaels - Many communities are still counting or have yet to officially release results of last night’s State primary Election. In Milford the unofficial results revealing Joe Kennedy, who represented Milford in the 4th Congressional District won Milford, with 2,814 votes, to Markey's 1,992 votes as about 27-percent of registered voters in the town, took the time in one way or another, to cast their ballots. The Republican Primary had Kevin O’Conner coming out on top, he also won Milford by about a 2-1 margin. In the 4th Congressional District Democratic Primary race where there were nine candidates on the ballot, with two candidates having dropped out of the race before yesterdays’ election, still does not have a winner, with the two top candidates, Jesse Mermell and Jake Auchincloss, just about a hundred votes apart, as the counting continued overnight. Late last night Mermell had an 11-hundred vote lead on Auchincloss, but the race has tightened up, as some towns in the district, still hand-count all ballots. In Milford, Auchincloss led the way capturing 1,139 votes, Mermell finished fourth, behind Becky Grossman and Natalia Linos. The race is too close to call, with about 80-percent of votes counted early this morning.
