By MyFM's Rick Michaels - The entire commuter rail system’s on-time performance took a dive in September and October and the Franklin Commuter Line was the worst performing line. Following the release of the report State Representative Jeffrey Roy of Franklin has scheduled a meeting in Franklin with representatives from the MBTA, Keolis and the public to discuss commuter rail service. Many of the delays and cancellations on the Franklin Line, were due to mechanical failures of the equipment resulting in a 79.2 percent on time performance the worst of all commuter lines. Representative Roy says he’s heard an increase in the number of complaints from constituents, since the beginning of the Foxboro Pilot program. He recently started the Franklin Line Working Group consisting of Representatives and Senators whose communities are served on the Franklin Commuter Line to meet periodically with officials from the MBTA and Keolis, to discuss ways to improve the system including issues such as parking, increased fares and fees and infrastructure. Representative Roy says the public meeting will be held next Tuesday night December 17th at seven o’clock at the Municipal Building.
