FRANKLIN - After 165 years, the Franklin Library Association is disbanding. With its roots as the steward of the first public lending library in the nation, the Association is no longer needed with the Franklin Public Library well established. Last fall the members voted to disband, but first they’ve put together a book on their history. You can hear about it at a special reception on Ben Franklin’s birthday, January 17, at 6:00 pm at the Franklin Public Library with a panel discussion at 6:30 pm which will also be broadcast on Franklin TV.
