Franklin LiveARTS Presents Ina Zdorovetchi

Internationally-renowned and Boston-based harpist, Ina Zdorovetchi, is the featured artist at the second LiveARTS concert of the 2016–2017 season. The concert will be held on Sunday, November 13 at 3:30 p.m. at the Meetinghouse of the First Universalist Society, 262 Chestnut Street, Franklin. Ms. Zdorovetchi will be performing music by Fauré, Glinka, Hindemith, and Scott Joplin. The concert venue is completely handicapped accessible. Tickets, available at the door, are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors, $10 for students, and free for children under 12. Doors open at 3 p.m. Seating is open.

Ina Zdorovetchi is a winner of the International Harp Contest in Israel—the most prestigious international harp competition in the world. While championing major traditional works for harp, she has continually treated her audiences to new and innovative repertoire. She appears on recordings with a variety of artists, such as Sting, Josh Groban, Yo-Yo Ma, Chris Botti, Natalie Merchant, and the Boston Modern Orchestra Project.                                                                                                                                   

Ms. Zdorovetchi now serves as a faculty member of several local institutions, including Boston Conservatory, Berklee College of Music, New England Conservatory Preparatory School, and Wellesley College. She is the principal harpist with Boston Lyric Opera and the Boston Pops.

The 2016-2017 season of the LiveARTS concert seasons continues on January 29, 2017, when the featured artists will be Sandra Piques Eddy, mezzo-soprano, and pianist Michelle Alexander. Ms. Eddy sings at the Metropolitan Opera. The final concert of the season will be held on April 23, 2017 and will feature a musical trio of Bruce Creditor, clarinet, Donald Krishnswami, viola, and Lorena Tecu, piano.
