By MyFM's Rick Michaels - There is a number of resolutions and amendments ready to be voted on tonight during a meeting of the Franklin Town Council including the town’s participation in the national Opioid lawsuit and the engagement of legal counsel for that purposes. There’s also three zoning by-law amendments dealing with ground-mounted solar energy systems. The town councilors will also have a discussion dealing with the town’s open space inventory, with Town Administrator Jeffrey Nutting an advocate for open space for active or passive use. Saying “Franklin has a good track record over the last 15-years of adding parcels of land.” Since 2002 the town council has acquired 36-acres off Daniels street, purchased 24-acres off Grove street and accepted as a donation the Del Carte property. Nutting says the town continues to reach out to various property owners to see if they’re interested in selling or donating their land to the town.
