Franklin Town Council Will Move Into Executive Session.

ByMyFM's Rick Michaels - The Franklin Town Council will move into executive session following tonight’s regularly scheduled meeting, at which time councilors will conduct a strategy session in preparation for negotiations involving a contract offer for newly named Town Administrator Jamie Hellen. At the Council’s last meeting the vote was unanimous to have Hellen take over for Town Administrator Jeffrey Nutting, when he retires at the end of the fiscal year. Franklin Town Council members will discuss compensation and other terms and conditions of a new employment agreement for Hellen afterwhich, the Council may reconvene in open session, to vote to officially offer the employment agreement to him. Among the items on the agenda for the council’s regular meeting tonight under the direction of its’ new Chairman Thomas Mercer, will be a presentation on a recently completed town-wide risk assessment. In terms of financial risk assessment the findings show Franklin has a clearly defined business objective, the delivery of municipal services to it’s residents in a timely, ethical and effective manner.  One of two high risk areas revealed back in August was said to be in the event of a disaster, the town is unable to restore information systems in a timely manner. A disaster recovery program is being compiled and is

expected to be completed by Spring.
