By MyFM's Rick Michaels - In the Town of Holliston anyone who needs to be outside of their home, and/or when entering an
essential business or residential or commercial building is now required to wear a face covering. At the Board of Health meeting this week, members voted to make it mandatory in order to prevent the spread of the CoronaVirus. Under the new requirement, all workers at grocery stores, retail stores and food service establishments MUST wear a face covering and gloves must be readily available. Masks must also be worn when you are in or around all public spaces, such as parks or outdoor commercial areas.
All open businesses in Holliston must display signs reminding everyone that they need to be wearing a face covering. Fire Chief Michael Cassidy who’s also the Emergency Management Director reminds residents, masks should not be put on young children, under two-years old. The emergency order will remain in effect, until the Board of Health determines the public health emergency no longer exists. The latest numbers, reveal Holliston as 34 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
