By MyFM's Rick Michaels - The Hopedale Board of Health will be holding an emergency meeting this afternoon with only one-item
on the agenda, the approval of an order requiring the mandatory use of facial coverings or masks in public places. The Board last week advised all Hopedale residents and people who work in places of business and government facilities to wear a mask at all times outside of a home or dwelling. The advisory applied to all public spaces, outdoor spaces and private businesses as the Centers for Disease Control, the CDC continues to recommend face coverings when going out in public, especially where
social distancing is difficult to maintain, like grocery stores, pharmacies and some workplaces. The Hopedale Board of Health meets at one o’clock this afternoon at which time members are expected to approve a mandatory use of masks or facing coverings.
