By MyFM's Rick Michaels - Hopedale residents deciding at the polls yesterday that the town will have to work with the money it has while rejecting a $1.3 million override. Town officials told residents to expect two-percent cuts for most all town departments if the ballot question was approved and by turning aside the proposition 2 ½ override, further cuts in services and a loss of jobs are now on the line. Hopedale residents rejected the $1.3 million override with 781 votes against and 639 votes in favor according to unofficial results released last night by town Clerk Lisa Pedroli. Last year the town approved a $430,000 override and earlier this year at Town Meeting the $1.3 million was approved but it also needed approval at the polls. Among the possible job losses the town could see are teachers, police officers and call firefighters.
