By MyFM's Rick Michaels - The Hopkinton Planning Board has several continued Public Hearings on it’s agenda for tonight, including more discussion for proposed stormwater management and earth removal associated with the construction of a replacement Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Liquefaction facility. The Stormwater Management permit application and Earth removal application for 52 & 55 Wilson Street have been submitted by Eversource, who has filed a petition with the Department of Public Utilities, requesting a zoning exemption for the project. The DPU doesn’t have the authority to just waive the town’s General Bylaws. There’s concern of the possibility of untreated stormwater reaching the Hopkinton Reservoir and causing environmental impacts. The Board of Health Director will review with planning board members tonight, the results of stormwater sample testing last month that indicated no chemical constituents.
