By MyFM's Rick Michaels - The Town of Hopkinton is asking residents to keep in mind the town's temporary sign regulations, which does have some restrictions on the number of signs and the period of time, such signs may be displayed. The Director of Municipal Inspections Charles Kadlik says the town's zoning bylaw recognizes the right to display signage but he says due to the proliferation of residential signage displayed in town within the last six-months he’s asking residents to remember the temporary sign regulations in Hopkinton. Kadlik says no more than two temporary signs on a lot and they shall not be displayed for more than 30 days. However, with election season here for 30 days before and up to two days after, there’s no maximum of the number of temporary signs on your property. Kadlik says his department has received numerous complaints that the number of signs being displayed at this time is having a negative effect upon Hopkinton’s countryside/country like image.
