Inaugural Fourth of July Parade Shaping Up To Be Quite A Memory Maker

50 plus parade entries decked out in their best “Americana” will be traveling through Milford, MA on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 kicking off at 10:00AM. Stilt walkers, floats towing decorated boats, Patriots cheerleaders, floats throwing beach balls and floats playing live music just to name a few! The parade route will mirror the Milford Santa Parade starting next to Friendly’s Restaurant (109/16) and ending at the Milford Police Station. A parade entry competition will take place with prizes including a trophy and a $100 gift certificate to Pepperoncini’s in Milford. Categories include: Most Patriotic parade entry, Most Creative parade entry, Most Spirited parade entry, Best Musical entry and the coveted GRAND FINALE, which is best in parade overall.

“It’s going to be quite whimsical!” explains parade committee member Renee Callery. “I am beside myself with excitement! You don’t want to miss it!”

The parade will also feature a Bike& Scooter Brigade which will showcase decorated bikes and scooters by children of all ages. The Bike& Scooter Brigade will start at the Milford Town Hall and be led by the official Fourth of July Ice-cream truck. Currently there are 80 plus bicyclist and scooterists registered for this spectacular segment of the parade.

“I couldn’t be more proud to be a part of this community.” said parade Co-Chairman Ray Auger “Everyone really came together.”
