Joseph H. Boisvert, Sr., 79, of Northbridge, passed away Thurs. July 13, 2017 at UMASS Medical Center, Worcester. He was the husband of Rebecca M. (Beckie) Young. Mr. Boisvert had been employed at the former Foster-Forbes Glass Company in Milford for over 20 years. He had previously owned and operated his own body shop in Mendon and had worked at the former Draper Corp. in Hopedale and the former Sherman Automotive in Milford. Joe was born in Linwood the son of the late Alfred and Julia (Forget) Boisvert. In his youth, he was a member of the Pistol Poppers Club. He enjoyed coin collecting, was a collector of model trains from G scale to Z scale, liked an occasional flea market, and was a HAM Radio operator with the call sign WA1NJQ.
In addition to his wife of 45 years, Beckie, he is survived by one son, Joseph H. Boisvert, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Whitinsville, two daughters, Julie A. Isabelle- Laliberty and her husband James Laliberty of Uxbridge, Joanne Boisvert of Douglas, grandchildren including Michelle and her husband Matt Medeiros, Joseph III, Stephen Jr., Elizabeth, Diane, Stephanie, Ricky Jr., and Danielle, many nieces and nephews, and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by one grandson, Michael Boisvert. Visiting hours will be held on Wed. July 19, 2017 from 5-8 PM in the BUMA FUNERAL HOME, 101 North Main St., Uxbridge.
