Light Turnout At Polls In Hopedale For Annual Town Elections

By MyFM's Rick Michaels - It was a light turnout at the polls in Hopedale yesterday for the Annual Town Election with only one contested race and one open seat,  in which a write-in candidate may be filling that town position. In the race for a five year term on the Hopedale Planning Board William Murray defeated Sandra Slattery-Biagetti, by a vote of 123-to-111. There was no candidate on the ballot for a three year term for Park Commissioner, however there were 80 write-in votes, with 55 of them going to David Gugliemi the remainder of the ballots were left blank. Hopedale Selectmen Louis Arcudi III and School Committee member Lisa Alberto were both re-elected with no opposition. Newcomer Jennifer McKeon was also voted onto the School Committee.
