In my opinion the storm and driving ban gives us all an opportunity to reconnect with family, to put down or electronic devices and enjoy the time together. Hopefully we're not thinking about how we're "stuck inside" and instead take the opportunity to play board games, drink hot chocolate, read books or make cookies. How many times have we wished we had time to take out those home movies or photo albums?
Of course it's also a good time to check in on our elderly neighbors or those with special needs to see if they are OK or invite them over.
Wishing everyone a safe and fun 2015 blizzard!

I would say to the residents of Mendon, please listen to the direction of Governor Baker and stay off the roads. Stock up on water and prepare for a potential long period of power outages. Grab a few games and a lantern to play with family while we wait out the storm. Residents with facebook can also check out my facebook page for any updates from public safety. My page is Mendon Selectman Mark Reil.
