By MyFM's Rick Michaels - Today was to be a very busy day for Annual Town Elections with a total of four communities in the immediate MyFM listening area set to open the polls this morning instead only the town of Uxbridge keeping with it's original date, while the others have rescheduled because of COVID-19. Uxbridge residents will have only one contested race to decide for Town Moderator, where Charles “Ed” Maharay is being challenged for another three year term, by former Republican State Representative Kevin Kuros. Kuros vacated his seat now held by Michael Soter of Bellingham, to run for Worcester County Register of Deeds, losing in the Republican Primary. Uxbridge Selectmen Brian Butler and School Committee member Holly Black are seeking re-election with no challengers and there are open seats on the School and Finance Committees. The polls will be open for the Uxbridge Annual Town Election from 7am-8pm, with all residents casting ballots at the Gymnasium at 62 Capron Street. Medway, Holliston and Northbridge postponed their town elections until next month.
