WESTBOROUGH - A man hospitalized for an accident in Westborough Monday afternoon may have suffered a medical emergency that precipitated the crash. It happened around 3pm when for some reason the man slammed his pickup truck into a power pole at the corner of Mill Road and Fisher Street. The crash split the pole apart and police say a crew from National Grid had to come stabilize the pole before the truck could be removed. There is no word on the driver’s current condition. No other vehicles were involved.
