"Liam and Nelly"

Completing your family has never been easier - TWO YOUNG DOGS FOR THE ADOPTION FEE OF ONE! Ever since their trip from Korea a few months ago, Liam and Nelly have bonded to one another. We've seen their love/friendship bloom and we are in awe of how much they depend on one another. They would thrive in a home together and their adopters would get two, easygoing cuddle bugs who just want to be loved and snuggled up in the comfort of a home.
Korea was not easy for them - not in the slightest. But they were rescued and they were brought here in the hopes of starting life over. They've been in the shelter so long and they deserve the security that comes with a forever family.
By the way, they have learned so much in their time here, including how to play, how to be truly goofy (Liam is a pro at this), and how to be gentle and sweet (Nelly excels at this). Together, they have worked to build their confidence and have succeeded! The staff and volunteers enjoy every second they have with this darling duo.
The missing link is YOU! Baypath community, please, please, please help us find a loving home for these two sweethearts. Share this as much as you can around to all your social networks. Just one share could make all the difference for Liam and Nelly. The more we can get their story out there, the sooner they will find a home.
If you have questions or want to start the application to adopt them, please email adopt@baypathhumane.org.

Meet Fadrea! She is a 3 year old pitty mix from South Carolina! Fadrea was surrender because the owners rented and the New landlord who owned the building wouldn’t allow her to stay there. They had her since she was 6 months old. Fadrea lived with children that were the age of four. But we recommend older because she is an active lady and toddlers may get pancaked on accident by her excitement when meeting them. She was also used to living with another dog. She would do well with another dog in the home. Fardrea although she did have a home. Was left outside most of the time. Even at night. So she may need a refresher on how to be a house dog. She is described by the rescue down south as a “gem” and the staff absolutely loves this girl. She was cat tested and did great and showed no aggression towards the kitty! . Fadrea weighs 38lbs.

"Liam Neeson"

2 year old male mixed breed (50lbs)

Meet Liam! This handsome boy came to us from Korea, with his best buds Nelly and Ode. He is a sweet, quiet boy who enjoys spending time with his friends. He needs a quiet, adult only home, as he is quite shy, and needs someone with patience to help him adjust to his new life and come out of his shell. Other dogs help him feel safe, so he must go to a home with another dog. He is brand new to a leash, so he is looking for a home with a fenced in yard. Once he feels safe, he loves to play! We are still getting to know Liam, but he has already come so far! If you think Liam could be the one for you, please email adopt@baypathhumane.org today!

Calling all hound lovers! Dante is a 4 year old hound mix. He weighs 52 pounds.
Dante is in a local foster home. Approved applicants can meet him locally.

Dante was in a shelter for several months before coming into foster care. Dante is a hound mix. He plays well with other playful dogs. Like many hounds, Dante is prey driven, and when he catches scent of something he might give a hound like howl, and can pull to get to the scent. He sleeps through the night in his crate, is housebroken, and likes to take naps after he's had some good exercise. Dante is afraid of thunder. He's learning to walk nicely on a leash. He is a bit shy at first, but he loves people, and is a great pet. He knows 'sit' and 'give paw.'

Dante is looking for a home with a fenced yard. A friendly canine companion to play with and mentor him would be a big plus. He cannot be placed in a home with cats or any other small animals (is ok with small dogs though). He is not suited for city or apartment living.

Adoption Fee: $400
Adoption Coordinator: Vera

3 year 4 month old female jack russell terrier mix (15lbs)

Meet our newest arrival, Belle! Belle is a sweet and outgoing girl who loves to be with people. While Belle loves adults and older kids, she can be uncomfortable around very young children. She is looking for a home with adults or kids over 12. Belle gets along with other small dogs, but can be fearful of big dogs. Belle is active, playful, and loves treats! She loves to go for walks! She is not housebroken, and will need a patient family to continue housetraining with her. If you think Belle is the one you have been waiting for, please email adopt@baypathhumane.org today!

Thursday June 3rd, 2021

Meet Jamba! This pretty lady made the big transition up to the north from Texas and we are still getting to know her true personality. She has been through so much and is slowly coming out of her shell when meeting new people and entering new situations. Jamba absolutely loves other dogs and is very happy to spend time or play with her canine friends! She is more likely to follow their lead, especially when interacting with new people, and would do best living with another resident dog or having lots of confident dog friends to socialize with. With time, patience, and letting her navigate the world at her pace, she warms up quickly and that little bob tail can't stop wagging! She has mastered the wigglebutt. Jamba enjoys time outside and once comfortable, she'll likely make an excellent hiking partner in the great outdoors. Jamba is a country girl at heart, so she is looking to live in a quiet area. If you think this sweet, shy girl could be for you, please email adopt@baypathhumane.org today!

Moose is an adorable guy who is very excited to meet his new family! Moose is the life of the party who loves to be with people and is happiest when he has someone to spend time with. He's a young pup with energy to burn and loves to play with squeaky toys, but he's also content just lounging around with his people. Moose is super smart and ready to continue training with his people to show off his skills. Moose is looking for a home with kids over 10 years old and he would be best as the only dog in the home - he loves to play with other dogs, just prefers to be the center of attention at home! If you think this goofy pup could be the one for you, please email adopt@baypathhumane.org today!

"Gee Gee"

Meet Gee Gee! She is a 7 1/2 month old retriever/shepherd mix from South Carolina. Gee Gee was found by a family as a stray. They tried to locate her owners but were unsuccessful. They eventually turned her into the local shelter because they didn’t have the time for a dog. Gee Gee is full or life and energy. She would benefit from a family who likes to walk, run or hike. She needs a little basic training because she is still just a pup. She gets along well with other dogs and enjoys running and playing with them. She would do well in a home with kids 7 and up as she still has that puppy like energy and May knocked smaller kids over on accident. Cats unknown. Gee Gee weighs 43lbs

Meet London (ADOPTED!!!) Paris (ADOPTED!!!), and Prague (AVAILABLE)! These 5 month old siblings look like Black Lab mixes and are searching for separate homes. This sweet litter came to us after they were removed from a severe animal neglect situation where they were living in filth. Upon arrival to our partner shelter, they were diagnosed with demodectic mange (non-contagious) but have finally grown all their hair back! They have had very little experience with house training, crate training, or leash walking, so an adopter who is onboard with helping their puppy learn these skills is a must. They would do fine in a home with other dogs, cats, and kids 5+.

In addition, adopters should be home for the majority of the day (including post-pandemic) and have a positive reinforcement trainer picked out to enroll their dog with. Force-free training classes/sessions are required for all adopted dogs in order to set them and their new families up for success. Adopters should be prepared to also continue their dog's socialization and experiences with new people, places, and things, as well as expect to help them fine tune any previous training.

Their foster says: "They will do great in any home that can give attention and love. All 3 of these puppies are happy, friendly, eager to see you. London is the shiest of all 3. They all 3 play together and never show any aggression. They love to get in your lap. They all try to steal your attention just to get a belly rub or to be held so they can lick your face. I have had people come over to sit with the puppies just to bring them happiness. They do jump and mouth for attention but only to try to get your attention. They only do this when they first see you. Super sweet and eager to please!"

They are available for adoption with an approved adopter in N. Dartmouth, MA on May 7th. Please fill out an application at www.browndogcoalition.com/adoption as a first step.

- Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, financial, and emotional responsibilities of a puppy/dog BEFORE applying to adopt.
- Our adoption process has been adapted for social distancing and the majority of our dogs are unavailable for meet and greets at this time. Please fill out an application, and we will explain that dog's process as needed.
- Puppies/dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises.

- More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fee can be found at browndogcoalition.com

Bobbi is an active, intelligent, and sweet young dog! She has a great energy level for toys and playtime with her people, exploring the outdoors and riding in the car. Bobbi is known to form a very strong bond with her person, so she would do best as the only animal in her home. While she used to be able to enjoy play dates with other dogs, she now prefers her time alone with people. She says she deserves to be the one to soak up all your attention and praise!

Bobbi will benefit from continuing obedience training where she can learn to gain confidence and direct her excitement for life in appropriate ways. She is non-destructive and housebroken, and very eager to learn more. Because of the exuberant side of her personality, she will do best living with adults who have had experience with dogs who need more guidance with learning their manners. Bobbi cannot live in a home with kids, now or in the future.

Bobbi would absolutely love a fenced yard of her own to romp around in and someone who will spend lots of time with her enjoying the great outdoors and keeping her mind working with games, puzzles, and tons more enrichment. Bobbi does have anxiety and has a relationship with a great trainer and behaviorist at Tufts. She is looking for an owner who understands dog behavior, and is committed to following through with her behavior plans. If you’d like to learn more about Bobbi, please email adopt@baypathhumane.org!

**Please note - Bobbi is a Baypath Courtesy Posting. She is in foster and we are helping to facilitate her adoption**

Medfield Animal Shelter is helping Zoe's family in finding her a new home. Please fill out an application if you want to meet her or you may ask questions we can relay to the owner.

Zoe is a sweet, approximately 5-year-old Walker Treeing Coonhound. She's very playful and has many friends at her doggie daycare. She loves to hang out with all of her siblings (2 cats, 1 dog and 3 humans - when they are home from college).

Zoe would love a home with a large yard where she can get plenty of exercise and bark to her heart's content (after all, that’s a hound’s job), and be a member of an active family that enjoys hiking, long walks and running. It is important that her owner is confident and clearly the “alpha” who can help Zoe to be more confident. And true to her breed, Zoe is loud and will “sound the alarm” when there are passersby (humans and woodland critters). She would benefit from some additional training as she tends to get very anxious when under stress (thunderstorms and fireworks).

Her favorite past-time is curling up by the fire on a cold winter night with her besties.

We give priority to people that fill out our adoption application, so if you are interested in meeting this dog, please go to https://www.medfieldshelter.com/adoption-forms/dog and fill out the application.

E-mail inquiries about a dog are not considered an application.

If a dog is listed on our website, that means that dog is still available for adoption. The Shelter is staffed primarily by volunteers so adoption meetings take place by appointment. Our dog adoption fee for dogs 5 years old or younger is $350. Every dog we place is given age-appropriate vaccines, wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, tested for heartworm and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash and a month's worth of heartworm preventative. If a dog is listed on our website, they are still available for adoption. Please fill out the adoption application if you would like to be considered for a dog you see in our care.

With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families who are willing to make a commitment to both.

You’ve heard of Clifford the Big Red Dog, but what about Clifford the Big Brown Dog?  While not exactly the same (our Clifford isn’t quite 30ft tall), they do share some similarities! Big, goofy, a little gullible, and a friend to all, Clifford the Big Brown Dog embodies all of the sweet and silly qualities of his namesake.
Clifford is about 1.5 years old, 80lbs, and looks to be a Great Dane/German Shepherd mix. In his foster home he is house trained, crate trained, knows how to walk on leash, and is living with other friendly dogs and dog savvy cats.  The life of the party, he loves to play! Whether it’s a game of fetch, a wrestling match with another pup, or with a toy by himself, he’s always down for a little fun. Aside from that, Cliff enjoys going for walks, car rides (sticking his head out the window is a must!), and lounging in the yard on a nice day. Due to his size (he is both long and tall) and his predisposition to accidentally bump into things and people, he’s best suited for dog savvy kids 10+ and sturdy people. In addition, a home with a fenced yard and people with large dog experience is preferred.
Interested in adopting your very own giant sidekick?  Read his full bio and apply to adopt at browndogcoalition.com!

Meet Scooter! Scooter is a 5-7 year old Mastiff mix weighing in at 125lbs!!! ( he’s a bit of chunk so he could stand it I lose some weight!) Scooter was a surrender down in Florida. His owner was elderly and could not care from him anymore. Scooter had a sister dog in his previous home and would enjoy another in his new home! This heel cake loves to go on walks so a family that likes to walk would be great to hell him loose some weight!! Scooter is a big moosh. Loves all people but with his size we prefer kids 10 and up. We do know that’s Scooter isn’t a fan of cats!!

Hi, I’m Blossom, an 8-ish yr old tan and white female basset mix who is looking for my forever home!  I am a sweet and loving girl. I am pretty energetic, and I love to play with my stuffed toys. It seems my tail is always wagging, and I absolutely love attention from my people!

I do pretty well with other dogs for the most part, but I can get a bit upset with others and pushy if food or treats are involved. My forever family should be savvy about handling resource issues, particularly if there are other dogs in the home. Any other dogs in the home should probably be close to my size rather than smaller. I am about 56 lbs, although the vet says I should be closer to 45.

As I said earlier, I’m pretty energetic and playful, but I do have some arthritis in a front leg that flares up from time to time. I am on medication for that, and it helps a lot. So my forever family should live in a one-level home where I won’t have to do stairs, and they will also need to be able to keep me on my medication, which generally runs about $87 a month and requires me to have periodic blood testing.

I am fine with children, but because I don’t seem to realize my own size, it would be best if my forever home doesn’t have small children — I might accidentally knock them over! Older children would be okay.

Do you think that you might be the right forever family for me? Can you see yourself loving me always? If so, please submit an adoption application and mention me — Blossom! If you’re already approved to adopt from NEBHR, please send an email to adoptions@newenglandbassethoundrescue.org.

Thursday March 18th, 2021

We will have puppies ready for adoption soon, so we are starting to accept applications for when they become available. We do not know their breed or how big they will be. We anticipate them to be large dogs, and we think they could be hound mixes. If you are ready to welcome a puppy into your home, please email adopt@baypathhumane.org to learn more about our current puppy matchmaking process!

Please contact us at adopt@baypathhumane.org or 508-435-6938 to learn more about a dog

Jack Russel/Mix

Meet Kat! She is about 6 years old, 10 lbs, and looks to have some Jack Russell in her mix. Kat was found with a broken pelvis after being hit by a car and she has now healed enough to be ready for adoption. In her foster home, Kat is house trained, crate trained (goes into her crate on her own), and knows how to walk on leash. She does have some leash reactivity to other dogs (barking), so a quiet walking route or a fenced in yard would be best. She is very friendly with all people, especially men. Kat must be an only dog, and could go to a home with kids 10+.

Her foster says, "She loves to be around people. An apartment would be okay but she loves to go outside for walks. Kat would do best with a family who will be home most of the time, a family where she can be the center of attention, a family who will take her outside daily. She absolutely loves everyone but will follow men more readily. Kat is super smart - she learned to sit and stay for her dinner in 2 weeks. She's fun and can entertain herself with little games with her Kong toy (loves her Kong so we'll send with her to her new home). She really enjoys being outside. She is still recovering, getting up from naps she may lift her back left leg, but she has been going up and down 4 stairs for about a week now. Sometimes she is timid about jumping up, sometimes she leaps to the couch without care. she can be wary of cars while walking."

She is available for direct adoption with an approved adopter in Hopkinton, MA by appointment. Please fill out an application at www.browndogcoalition.com/adoption.

Pug (medium coat)
Medium Young Female

Pug Rescue of New England (PRoNE) is a non-profit 501(c)(3), all volunteer foster home based rescue organization.

Meet Raven! She is as beautiful as she is spunky. At two years of age, she still has the BIG energy of a puppy! In her Foster Home she is currently living with a few other dogs. We are recommending she be the only pet in the home due to her strong personality. She has had no exposure to cats, but likely her behavior will not be tolerated well by them due t o her fixation issues and the need to constantly engage. There have been  episodes of biting when overstimulated, so we believe it is best this diva had all the attention. Only homes with children over age 10 please!
Raven came into PRoNE with some housetraining challenges, however this is being actively worked on with daily improvements seen now that she has a strict bathroom schedule and routine. The ideal home for her would be a chilled and relatively calm environment as to best handle when play gets her overstimulated. Focused efforts on her redirection will help to reduce these episodes. As expected, she is a super loving velcro pug who will sit and snuggle all day with her human if given the chance! She loves car rides and is highly motivated by treats. This is an incentive for her continued training.
Raven is still very much a “puppy” and she loves to explore and loves to sleep and can settle with guidance. The activity level in her former home was not conducive to her needs. In her prior home she spent limited time in an open crate with a dog bed where was some times found napping. We are recommending a work from home situation or an owner not gone longer than 4-6 hours is best for her needs.
Raven has no medical needs at this time, has been spayed and is up to date on her vaccinations. The adoptive home should be able to afford her a quality food diet and routine medical care.
If you feel you would be a great match for Raven, please apply!

If you are interested in adopting, your home situation MUST meet this criteria:

A vet reference check, dog walker check (if applicable), landlord check (if applicable), a phone interview and home visit will be conducted prior to approval. If you think a pug is right for your family and you meet the criteria, please apply to adopt on our website at www.pugrescueofnewengland.org.

Our mission is simple: we find homes for abandoned and surrendered pugs in New England. Our pugs will be UTD on shots and spayed or neutered prior to adoption. You must be a resident of New England (New York residents carefully considered).

Meet Molly! This little missy is about 3.5 years old, 17lbs, and looks like a Jack Russell Terrier mix.
In her foster home, Molly is working on house training, crate training, and knows how to walk on leash . She gets along with other dogs, but would really love to be the center of attention as an only pup. While Molly does not have any cat experience she has lived with children.  Since she is a moderate barker, she may not be the best for apartment living.
Interested in Molly? Read her full bio and apply to adopt at www.browndogcoalition.com

Thursday February 18th, 2021

"Black Beauty"

Meet Black Beauty! She is about 5 months old, 44 pounds, and looks like she has some Lab in her mix and may be a big girl once full grown, given her current size and big paws. Black Beauty is a bit shy when alone, but warms up quickly with the help of treats and the company of other dogs. Black Beauty will need a home that has a physically fenced in yard, as she is still timid and not used to walking on leash, as well as one that has another resident dog of similar energy who likes to play. She could also go to a home with a confident/dog savvy cat and/or kids 10+. She is available to meet by appointment with an approved adopter in Hopkinton, MA.
If interested in Black Beauty, please fill out an adoption application on our website: browndogcoalition.com where you can also find more information on our process, requirements, fees and FAQs.”

1 year 5 month old male mixed breed (45+lbs)

Patrick is a cute, spunky guy with lots of personality! He loves to play and toys that squeak are his absolute favorite. Once he's comfortable, he loves to be around his people and will lean against you for more pets. Patrick can get nervous of fast movements or loud noises and would like to live with adults that have had some experience owning dogs, who can help him gain confidence and be the best canine companion he can be. We do not know how he feels about other animals. He is incredibly smart and treat-motivated, which will be so helpful when working on leash-walking and getting comfortable in his new surroundings! To learn more about Patrick and our Covid process please email adopt@baypathhumane.org!

Thursday January 28th, 2021

1 year 7 month old male mixed breed (55+lbs)

Meet Charlie! This handsome guy is ready to meet his new family! Charlie and an active and fun guy who is ready for adventure! He has done well with other dogs, and loves to be with people! Charlie enjoys play time, treats, hikes in the woods, and more treats! He is smart and ready to learn with his new people. Charlie is skinny at 55lbs, and will likely be about 65lbs at a good weight. We think Charlie would do best in an adult only home, and no cats! Charlie has begun to show some jumpy/mouthy behaviors. He is looking for an owner who had experience with training dogs to help him work through this. Charlie is smart, and eager to please, but will need consistency to work through this behavior. He would not do well in an apartment or with city living. Charlie needs a home with a fenced in yard, as he is still getting used to walking on a leash. If you are looking for an active buddy to join your family, please email adopt@baypathhumane.org today!

Thursday January 21st, 2021

4 year, 8 month old female Husky mix

2 year, 9 month female mixed breed

Meet Bella and Jasmine! These bonded "sisters" are ready to find their new family! We are hoping to keep them together since they came in together and love each other! Unfortunately their previous owner did not have enough time to give them what they needed. They are both sweet, smart, and active girls! Playtime is their favorite, and any toy is fun! They are also very food motivated and love some treats! They can be nervous in new places or with new people, so they are looking for an adult only home or a home with kids over 13. If you think they are the dogs for you, please email adopt@baypathhumane.org today!

Thursday January 14th, 2021

"Jesse James"

1 year old male mixed breed

Meet Jesse James! This cute guy is ready to meet his people! Jesse James may be nervous initially, but once he has had the time to take in his surroundings, he is a sweet and friendly boy! Jesse James loves to play with toys, and has a great time during his play dates with other dogs. While he enjoys his dog friends, he is looking to be the only dog in his home. He would do best in a home with kids over 12 or adults only. He is new to leash walking, and after a short walk, he prefers to play in the yard! Jesse is a smart and food motivated pup who is ready for training. Since he can be nervous, he is looking to live in a quieter area - no city life for him! If you think he could be the pup for you, please email adopt@baypathhumane.org today to learn more about him!

Thursday January 7th, 2021

1 year 8 month old male mixed breed (80#)

Meet Arlo! Arlo is a sweet and very playful young guy who is ready to start off the new year with his new family! Arlo is about 80lbs and 1.5years old. He is an active dog who loves to go for hikes in the woods and play in the yard. Chasing balls is his favorite game! Arlo has had lots of dog friends, but seems to do best with females. While he can have dog friends, he should be the only dog in his home. He is a bit too interested in cats, so no cats for him! Arlo may be nervous at first with new people or situations, but he warms up quickly and is a very sweet guy! He would do best in a home with kids over 13. If you think Arlo is for you, please email adopt@baypathhumane.org for more info on Arlo and our process today!

3 year 4 month old female mixed breed (55 pounds) currently in foster.

This nervous lady is looking for a patient family to help her learn about life as a beloved pet! Eclipse is new to the shelter, and we are learning more about her sweet personality as she opens up more each day. With patience, and lots of yummy treats, Eclipse warms up nicely to new people. She will take time to be fully comfortable, but once she knows you she is very sweet! Eclipse has been around other dogs and seems to get along with them. We have noticed she seems to like female dogs more than males. Eclipse gains confidence from other dogs, and tends to follow their lead. Leash walking is new to her, and she is just learning how to go for hikes in the woods when we have lots of yummy treats to encourage her! Cars going by on the road are scary for her, so she prefers playing in the yard and walking in the woods. She would do best in a home with a fenced in yard to help her with this transition. She is looking to live in a home in a quiet area - no city living for her! Eclipse is looking for a home with adults and older teens (15+). If you think she is the dog for you, please email adopt@baypathhumane.org today!
