Marjorie A. (Hull) Clark, 87, of Bourne and formerly of Uxbridge, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Marjorie L. (Gregg) and Isaac Hull of Gaspee Plateau, RI. She graduated from Aldrich High School, Warwick, and Dean Jr. College, Franklin.
She married Arthur Clark in 1954 and settled in Uxbridge to raise their 6 children. While Marge was a stay at home mom, she also attended to the office work of their flooring business, Pioneer Carpet Company. With the youngest in high school, Marge then worked as an Administrative Assistant at Communications Test Design Inc. (CTDI) in Hopkinton.
Marge and Art retired to the Cape in 1991 and became communicants of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church-on-the-Canal, in Buzzards Bay. She was a member of the Altar Guild and the Mary & Martha’s women’s group. She had a strong love for her five precious granddaughters and enjoyed going to their sports games, doing counted cross-stitch, her cats, and living by the sea. She worked for Centerville Cleaners in Sandwich until 2003.
Predeceased in 2013 by Arthur, her loving husband of 60 years, Marge is also predeceased by her parents, her step-mother Ruth, her sister Pricilla Richardson and her brother Tom Hull.
She is survived by her six cherished children, Glen Clark and his wife Pam of E. Sandwich, Douglas Clark of Blackstone, Brian Clark and his wife Joan of Upton, Steven Clark and his wife Gloria of Pocasset, Gregory Clark and his wife Jennifer of Uxbridge; and Jennifer Edwards and her husband Robert of Bourne; her five precious grandchildren, Kimberley Clark of Philadelphia, Amy Clark of E. Sandwich, Hannah Clark, US Army of Ansbach, Germany, Alyssa Clark of Uxbridge and Abigail Clark of Uxbridge; a brother William Hull and his wife Sharlet of Pomfret CT; a sister Rebecca Book and her husband Ray of Lebanon, NH; many nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.
Funeral services will be held at a later date.
A donation to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church-on-the-Canal, 165 Main St., P.O. Box 265, Buzzards Bay, MA 02532 or to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 is suggested in lieu of flowers.
