Massachusetts Senate Starts to Debate Local Issues Today
  

By MyFM's Rick Michaels - Imposing a percentage based fee on every ride hailing trip, is among the changes Senators are proposing, to a major transportation investment bill which is ready to be debated beginning today. The Senate’s $16.9 Billion version of a multi year transportation bond bill, includes some 275 amendments, of which the vast majority seek money for specific transit or roadway projects throughout the State. Among the amendments Ryan Fattman is proposing $4 Million be set aside for costs associated with the Beaver Street two way road project in Milford Senator Becca Rausch has proposed $100,000 be spent on each of two proposed projects, in Franklin for a study to construct high level platforms at the commuter rail station in Forge Park and in Millis for the repaving of Route 109 from Hammond Street, west to the Medway Town Line and Senator Michael Moore is proposing two projects, each  with a price tag of $1.2 Million for a water main relocation and reconstruction of the Grove Street Bridge in Upton, and in Northbridge, the money would go for the reconstruction of the Sutton Street Bridge and School Street culvert improvements.
