By MyFM's Rick Michaels - Medway residents will be deciding on several articles tonight contained in a Special Town Meeting Warrant and in the Annual Town Meeting Warrant. First up will the eight-articles in the Special Town Meeting beginning at seven o’clock, most are money transfers including an article to appropriate funds for the purpose of addressing town costs associated with the town's responses to COVID-19. The Annual Town Meeting will follow, with 22-articles Article 7 will ask residents to appropriate $1.7 million for capital and other items, including the biggest project, $750,000 for roads and sidewalks while Article 9 seeks raising another $800,000 for road and sidewalk repairs throughout the town. Medway residents will also decide to spend money, by the Community Preservation Committee allocating $120,000 to each of three areas, Open Space, Community Housing and Historical Preservation. Both Town Meetings will be held at Medway High School, again starting at seven o’clock meanwhile the Town Hall reopens today by appointment only call the department directly masks and social distancing will be required at all times.
