By MyFM's Rick Michaels - A proposed project by Ever-source, to improve the transmission system from Medway to Walpole, while ensuring the area’s electric grid conforms to national and regional reliability standards will be the focus of an Open House, scheduled for later this month in Franklin. The Medway to Walpole Reliability project will separate two existing transmission lines, onto new structures, along the existing power line corridor. This corridor spans nine-miles, from the West Medway substation through Bellingham, Franklin, another part of Medway then going through Millis and Norfolk before reaching the Walpole substation. Ever-source says this is an opportunity for residents of those towns to learn more, about the proposed transmission upgrades in their community and ask questions about the proposed design, to provide more reliable electric power, to meet each communities’s growing energy needs. The Open House will be held Thursday night September 20th, at the Franklin Senior Center from 5-7pm.
