Milford Board Of Selectman To Talk About Amazon Complaints

By MyFM's Rick Michaels - More discussion will be heard tonight at the Milford Board of Selectmen’s meeting, concerning the complaints of residents and business owners, about the sheer number of Amazon delivery trucks and how they’re operating in the town. Amazon has a distribution warehouse on Industrial Road, with some of their vehicles parked at the former Stop and Shop Plaza on East Main Street/Route 16 and also at the Toyota dealership on Fortune Boulevard. Milford residents have lodged several complaints about how the Amazon trucks clog up roads at certain times especially as they gas up at the Mobil Station on Medway Road/Route 109 creating what some feel are dangerous conditions, in what is a very busy intersection. There’s also been talk about a creating a new parking lot for Amazon vehicles off Beaver Street in conjunction with making Beaver Street a two way road which would be a multi million dollar project and likely would take years to complete. Milford Selectmen also talked about Amazon putting together a community impact agreement to find ways and the money to come up with some solutions.
