The Milford Cultural Council Public Art Subcommittee (MCCPAS) in assistance with the Milford Parks Department (MPD) and the Milford Highway Department (MHD) will hold Brush to Table Reveal Celebration at Plains Park on Saturday, July 24, 2021 from 12:00PM -3:00PM. This event is free and open to the public.
Brush to Table is the Milford Cultural Council’s first public art initiative. Local artists collaborated with local sponsors to create a piece of functioning art in the form of a picnic table to be installed at varying public locations the week after the reveal event on Saturday, July 24, 2021.
“We are entirely grateful and delighted to see this public art initiative come to fruition for the town of Milford. The collaboration of so many wonderful people is really what this initiative is about. What started as an idea, blossomed into something that the community will be able to enjoy for a long time. Milford deserves this beautification.” said Cultural Council Chairperson, Geri Eddins.
All eleven picnic tables will be on display for the public to view and enjoy at the celebration. There will also be food trucks, a DJ, arts and crafts and a magical community vibe to be had by all.
