Milford Cultural Council Opens Grant Applications

The Milford Cultural Council (MCC) will officially open their grant application process on Wednesday September 1, 2021 with a deadline for submitting on October 15, 2021

All applicants should submit their proposal online at: https://massculturalcouncil.smartsimple.com

In consideration of feedback from the community, the MCC will prioritize proposals in the visual arts (including public art and instruction), music, performing arts, and the sciences. Grants will go to projects and events that benefit Milford residents.

For the first time, the MCC will be implementing a direct-grant process for all approved grant recipients. Instead of requiring each grant applicant to process paperwork for reimbursement after their program or event has been completed, the council will make the awarded grant money available in full and up front to all approved grant recipients.

"Our goal in transitioning to direct granting is to attract a broader range of applicants and programming opportunities for the community by imposing less financial hardship on potential grant recipients.” said Chairperson Geri Eddins

As a local partner of the Massachusetts Cultural Council, the Milford Cultural Council seeks to promote excellence, inclusion, education, and diversity in the arts, humanities, and sciences to foster a rich cultural life for all Milford residents, thereby contributing to the vitality of our community and economy.

Membership in the Milford Cultural Council is capped at 13 members per its rules and regulations. Current members of the council include Geri Eddins, Chair; Sandra Buckley, Vice Chair; Martin Montoya, Treasurer; Nicole Romiglio, Secretary; Molly Auger; Gary Bonetti; C.C. Chapman; Christine Daddario; Jenny Lyons; Patricia Solomon; Max Li; Sara Vono-Caires and Michael Visconti.

The Council welcomes ideas, recommendations and any and all feedback in regard to programs and events to be sponsored by The Council. Interested Milford residents are encouraged to attend meetings which are held every third Tuesday of each month at 7:00PM.
