DAYBREAK AUDIO - Milford voters elected Will Kingkade as a selectmen for the next three years. He defeated Mike Visconti by a vote of 1,745 to 513. Will told WMRC now the work begins and he said a lot has changed for him over the years.
For school committee, John Erickson won a three year seat in his second try for the position. Last year he lost by just 13 votes. Yesterday he received 1,535 votes as did Vice Chairman Mike Walsh. Current Chairman Scott Harrison garnered 1,263 votes and Scott Vecchiolla 614. The school committee meets tomorrow night and Walsh is expected to be chosen as chairman for the next year. In the health board race, long time Chairman Ken Evans easily won another three years over Thomas Harmon. Ken for 1,365 votes to Harmon's 691. A paltry 2,313 votes were cast. Milford has 16,686 registered voters.
Harrison told WMRC there are many issues to deal with moving forward. He said the budget is the biggest job for members.
