Milford High School is pleased to announce that they will hold a parade to honor the Class of 2020 on Sunday afternoon! Even without the pandemic, organizing a parade for over 250 cars creates significant public safety concerns. Of course, the pandemic adds additional challenges. Given that, they need everyone’s cooperation to make this a successful event.
The parade is scheduled to start from Milford High School at 1pm on Sunday, May 31.
Cars will exit Milford High School and take a right on West Fountain Street. The parade will turn left on Congress Street and stay left on North Vine Street, proceeding past Woodland Elementary School. The parade will continue down Highland Street and cars will return to Milford High School through the Highland Street entrance.
Parking and Viewing Zones
The school has established four viewing zones along the parade route within short walks from four designated parking areas. They respectfully ask families to park in one of these four zones and refrain from parking along the parade route or on adjacent streets. They suggest parking by 12:45 and walking to your viewing zone by 1:00pm. Families can park at the high school in the front lot and next to the tennis courts, at Brookside Elementary School, and at Woodland Elementary School. Once you are in your viewing zone, please be vigilant about maintaining social-distance.
