Milford Police Chief Selection Ongoing
  

By MyFM's Rick Michaels - The positions of Chief for both the Police and Fire Departments were discussed last night by the Milford Board of Selectmen. The Board has seen the list of three-finalists given to them by the Police Chief Selection Review Committee from which will come the next Milford Police Chief Milford Selectmen hold an executive session tomorrow night, to review the candidates assessment center video. All three finalists are from outside the department, with one in-state candidate, from Falmouth and the other two are from Connecticut and Baltimore. The Board also will now move forward with finding a replacement for Milford Fire Chief William Touhey, who after 42 years with the department will be retiring on May 16th. Chief Touhey says he’s leaving the department in good hands he was appointed in lieu of an interview process being second in command, as Deputy Chief a position now held since 2014, by Mark Nelson who replaced Touhey.
