Milford Residents Go To the Polls Today

By MyFM's Rick Michaels - Milford residents go to the polls today, for the Annual Town Election with five contested races on the ballot. There’s a seat on the Board of Selectmen to be filled, with Chairman Michael Walsh being challenged by Ami Clifford, two-seats on the School Committee, with incumbent James Ligor seeking re-election, as well as five other candidates, Justin Dulak, John Erickson, Tarik Miranda, RJ Sheedy and Michael Visconte Junior. Three candidates are running for two seats on the Board of Library Trustees, Stephanie Abisla, Margaret Myatt and Scott Vecchiolla. Three candidates hope to fill one of two seat on the Board of Trustees of Vernon Grove, Kristen Gardner, Marilyn Lovell and Scot Vecchiolla. The race for Constables, has six candidates running for five positions. Milford residents in Precincts 1 & 6 will vote at the Milford Senior Center Precincts 2 & 3 voters go to the Italian American Veterans Hall and for those living in Precincts 4,5,7 & 8 voting today will be at the Portuguese Club the polls are open for the Milford Annual Town election from 8am this morning until 8pm tonight.
