Milford was categorized as red for the third consecutive week. This is the weekly summary of actions taken by the Board of Health to help protect the health of the community and reduce transmission of COVID-19.
1. Partnering with Milford Public Schools: Daily, the Board of Health communicates with multiple personnel from the Milford Public Schools to ensure all cases of COVID-19 are investigated, contacts are traced, and proper protocols are followed to maintain the health and safety of all.
2. Stepping back to Phase 3, Step 1: All local businesses have been notified that Milford must revert to Phase 3, Step 1. The changes listed in Table 1 on Monday November 2.
3. Additional information sent to all houses of worship: Updated infographics were shared with all houses of worship in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
The real power to stop the spread is in the hands of the community members. Everyone must make decisions that protect the health of their neighbors, families, and friends:
If you feel ill, do not leave your house except to get a COVID-19 test.
Do not host or attend large gatherings. This includes Halloween parties!
Wear a mask anytime you are in public and cannot maintain more than six feet of distance.
Follow all precautions and guidelines set by establishments for your own safety.
