Milford Selectmen Head Back To The Board Room After New Chief Declines Offer

By MyFM's Rick Michaels - Milford will need to begin, some type of new search,  for a new Police Chief the candidate selected to become the next Milford Police Chief has decided not to take the job. Baltimore Major Commander James Rhoden was chosen from a group of three-finalists, to replace former Chief Tom O’Loughlin. The other two candidates were the New Canaan, Connecticut Police Chief and the only in state candidate, a Falmouth Police Captain. The question Milford Selectmen will face at their next meeting, coming up on Monday night , will be does the town start the process all over again or look at the two other finalists. The Board voted 2-1 to appoint Rhoden to the job after about a year long search, with Selectman Mike Walsh voting instead for New Canaan, Connecticut Police Chief Leon Krolikowski.
