By MyFM’s Rick Michaels - As the last requirement for the Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness Grant Program the Town of Milford will be holding a public listening session this morning to review the results of a workshop held last month and discuss how climate-related/natural hazards may impact Milford in the future. The town received a $19,500 dollar state grant to conduct a community resilience building workshop, which was held in June when (13) community stakeholders comprised of town staff and local organization representatives participated in the workshop. The group discussed the town’s ongoing work to reduce and mitigate the impacts from future climate related and natural hazards. In summary the workshop reviewed the top hazards and vulnerable areas current concerns and challenges and recommendations to improve resilience. This morning’s public listening session will be held in the Milford Town Hall from 10am to 11:30.
