By MyFM's Rick Michaels - A Milford woman remains in custody, facing charges after police in Portsmouth, Rhode Island say, she drove her vehicle, with her three children inside into a reservoir. 30-year old Amanda Nappi is being charged with three-counts of cruelty or neglect of a child, when according to police, Nappi drove up-onto the edge of the embankment, before heading down into the water. She and her three young children were all rescued and taken to the hospital as a precaution. The incident happened Friday afternoon around three o’clock, at the Lawton Valley Reservoir, where the vehicle ended up partially submerged in the water. Once released from the hospital the children were taken by the Rhode Island Department of Children and Families and then turned over to the Massachusetts D-C-F. Nappi was taken to the Adult Correctional Institution in Cranston, after failing to post bail.
