Milford’s 2020 Fourth of July Parade has Been Officially Cancelled

On Monday May 4,, 2020, during an official public meeting, the Milford Fourth of July Parade Committee, consisting of: Ray Auger, Molly Auger, Joe Callery, Renee Callery, Erin Curley, Jenny Lyons and Nicole Romiglio voted to cancel this year’s parade scheduled for July 4th, 2020 due to social distancing concerns caused by COVID-19.  “This is a decision that I’d rather not be voting on at this time,” said Joe Callery, Co-Chair of the committee.  “But it seems that it’s the responsible thing to do giving the current situation”.

As well as social distancing concerns, the committee also cited lack of proper preparation time to successfully plan an event of this size, both financially and aesthetically.

Planning will now continue for a bigger and better celebration in 2020.  If you have any questions or concerns please message the committee on their Facebook page @MilfordFourthOfJulyParade.
