Mrs. Ann “Nina” (DeChellis) Franciose, 96, of Franklin MA died Saturday (February 11, 2023) at the Milford Regional Medical Center after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late Henry A. Franciose who died in 2017.
 
Nina was born in Pancentro, Italy the daughter of the late Pietro DeChellis and the late Maria Rose (Pompei) DeChellis. She attended school in Italy as a young girl and then came to the United States with her family at the age of ten. She also attended the Lowell School & the Curley School in the Jamaica Plains section of Boston MA.
 
Nina was first employed as a young woman at Bernard Yarns located in Boston MA. She later attended hairdressing school in Boston MA, Leo’s Beauty School in Worcester MA and finally graduated from a beauty school in Boston MA.
 
Nina had been employed as a hairdresser for many years at the former Vasil’s Beauty Salon located in Milford MA and later in life had been employed at the Michael Dalio Catering company.
 
Nina had been a longtime member of the Sons of Italy. She loved to cook & bake. She also loved knitting, sewing, crocheting, crafts and playing bingo.
 
Nina is survived by her nieces & nephew: Debbie Zinck and her companion Joseph Lurie of Upton MA, Diane, wife of John Ciccarelli of Milford MA, Doreen Zinck Harmon and her husband Thomas Harmon of Milford MA, Donna Zinckmoore and her husband Michael Moore of Framingham MA, Arthur DeChellis and his wife Linda of Middleborough MA, Regina Bates of Medway MA, Kathy MacDonald and her husband Dan MacDonald of Uxbridge MA and Pamela DeChellis and her wife Katie of SC; also several grandnieces, grand nephews, great grandnieces & great grandnephews.
 
Nina was the aunt of the late David DeChellis and the late Donna (DeChellis) Rahed.
 
Relatives & friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday (February 18th) at 10am in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church (UPPER CHURCH), 7 East Main Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA. There are no funeral home visiting hours.
