Mrs. Beatriz Alves (Faria) Morgado, 94, of Milford MA died Thursday (April 27, 2023) at the Milford Regional Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of Acacio Morgado.
 
Beatriz was born in Ceivaes, Portugal the daughter of the late Manuel Afonso Faria and the late Conceicao (Alves) Faria. She attended grammar school in Portugal as a young girl and came to the United States in 1965, settling here in Milford MA.
 
Beatriz was first employed as a young woman in Portugal as an apprentice, working in the ladies garment industry. She later owned & operated her own seamstress business in Portugal. When she came to the United States she was first employed at the former Anthony Roberts coat factory located here in Milford MA, until its closing. Following that she was employed at Dennison Manufacturing at the Holliston MA location.
 
Beatriz loved tending to her gardens at her residence and also loved to continue her sewing career by making various clothes & outfits for her beloved family members.
 
Along with her beloved husband of 74 years, Acacio, she is survived by her son: Carlos F. Morgado and his wife Lee of Medway MA; her 2 grandchildren: Dale James Morgado and his wife Amanda of Wilton CT and Kendra Morgado Ryan and her husband Daniel Ryan of Fort Mill SC; her 4 great grandchildren: Josephine Ryan, Aiden Morgado, Georgia Ryan and Preston Morgado; her 3 siblings: Madalena, Fernanda and Victor, all of Brazil; also several nieces & nephews. Also,Beatriz had a sister, Adelia, who pre-deceased her.
 
In accordance with her wishes, a Private Funeral Service will be held at the Edwards memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA at the convenience of the family.
