Mrs. Jennie (Borowski) Castagnaro, 101, of Westerly RI and formerly of Milford MA and Bellingham MA died Tuesday (August 4, 2020) at her residence after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late Francesco Castagnaro, who died in 1996.
Jennie was born in Bellingham MA, the daughter of the late Mikel and the late Katherina (Sisbtensma) Borowski and attended Bellingham public schools. She was employed as a young woman as a seamstress at the Uniroyal Corporation located in Woonsocket RI.
Jennie had been a resident of Bellingham MA and Milford MA for many years, and lastly had resided inWesterly RI.
Jennie is survived by her two daughters: Mrs. Barbara Batts of Milton MA and Judy, wife of John Turpin of Dublin OH; her son-in-law: Ralph Archambault of Malvern PA; six grandchildren: Karen, wife of Sean Nolan of Scituate RI, Glenn Turpin and his wife Michelle of Mantua OH, Kelly, wife of Dr. Alfred Fleming of Dublin OH, Susan, wife of Stephen Simms of Milton MA, Thomas Batts and his wife Brenda of Winthrop MA and Lynne, wife of Charles Sanbe of Malvern PA.
Jennie is also survived by twenty-two great grandchildren: Timothy Nolan, Bridgette Nolan, Aidan Nolan, Colleen Nolan, Heather Nolan, Andrew Turpin, Kaitlyn Turpin, Alex Turpin, Sarah Turpin, Rebecca Turpin, Rowan Fleming, Brady Fleming, Caden Fleming, Logan Fleming, Marissa Bianchi, Nicholas Simms, Benjamin Simms, Rebecca Simms, Noah Simms, Jessica Leary, Christopher Batts and Julia Sanbe;
Jennie was the mother of the late Sandra F. Archambault, who died in 2014 and the sister of the late Josephine M. Kavanagh, who died in 2014; the late Mary Rymanski; the late Anna Namaka and the late Henry Borowski.
Relatives & friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Monday (August 10th) at 11am in Sacred Heart Church, 187 Hopedale Street, Hopedale MA. Burial will follow in Hopedale Village Cemetery in Hopedale MA. A visitation period will be held Monday morning (August 10th) from 10am to10:45am at Sacred Heart Church, prior to her Funeral Mass. Social distancing protocols & use of face masks will be required for all facets of the funeral services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The American Heart Association.
