By MyFM's Rick Michaels - As many of you know and heard Monday was our 12th Annual Radiothon, to benefit the Oliva Fund for Cancer Care. Held on the last Monday in August and in conjunction with the annual golf tournament which benefits the Milford Regional Medical Center. The Radiothon raises money for the Oliva Fund for Cancer Care, helping to support expenses related to services beyond medical treatment for cancer patients and their families at Milford Regional and the Dana-Farber Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center. The day long Radiothon raised $97,110 in its’ 12th year with all that money going into the fund, assisting patients diagnosed with cancer and their families. However early this morning, a listener called in an anonymous donation of three-thousand dollars, to push us over $100,000, making the final tally $100,110. This year’s total also helped reach another milestone, going over three-quarters of a million dollars raised during the 12-years of fundraising. That total is now $792,764. Myfm Media would like to thank all our listeners and sponsors of our nearly 12-hour long broadcast yesterday, along with Milford Regional and the Oliva Family for another successful Radiothon.
