FRANKLIN - With scammers now targeting young adults on Snapchat and Instagram, Franklin Police are now sending out a warning. They say users, typically guys, get friended by random users, typically women, with a conversation that starts as flirtation and moves to exchanging racy pictures which are then used to blackmail you. If you don’t pay, they actually do send the pictures to your friends and followers. Franklin Police say they are investigating as it happens but they’d rather prevent it from happening at all.
