By MyFM's Rick Michaels - Residents of Milford interested in running for Town Office in April were able to pick-up nomination papers for the first time yesterday at the Town Clerk’s Office. Among those who made it official yesterday, that they will seek the needed signatures to put their names on the ballot at the Annual Town Election, exactly three-months from today includes two candidates seeking a three year term on the Board of Selectmen a current member of the Board of Assessors, Josh Lioce and the former Milford Police Chief Tom O’Loughlin. There will also be a contested race for Highway Surveyor taking out papers yesterday, was incumbent Scott Crisafulli and challenger Jamie Luchini who also returned his nomination papers yesterday with the required number of signatures to put his name on the ballot. There are two-seats on the School Committee to be filled Brendan Rickert and RJ Sheedy picked up papers as did several incumbents, including Board of health member Lenny Izzo Board of Assessors member Joseph Niro Park Commissioner Paul Braza and Milford Town Clerk Amy Hennessey-Neves. Four residents took out papers for a seat on the Board of Library Trustees incumbent Ed Bertorelli, along with David Probert, Alfred Spittler and Scott Vecchiolla. Also seeking re-election will be Sewer Commissioner Thomas Morelli and Henry Shahanmian for the Trustees of Vernon Grove.
