By MyFM's Rick Michaels - MY-FM 101.3 once again this year will be your local connection for the reigning World Champion, Boston Red Sox. With many thinking and talking about a repeat, the team remains intact from last year’s Championship team. However there will be a major change in the radio broadcast booth. Once again Red Sox Hall of Famer Joe Castiglione signed a multi-year extension and will be back for his 37th season with the Red Sox. However the seat next to him will be occupied by a rotating, elite group of broadcasters, with the departure of Tim Neverett. Entercom the flagship station of the Red Sox says joining Joe in the booth this season will be Sean McDonough, who served as TV play-by-play announcer for the Red Sox from 1988-2004, Chris Berman from ESPN, Mario Impemba with 32-years of experience, the last 17-years with the Detroit Tigers, Tom Caron studio host for the games on NESN and Dave O’Brien, the TV voice of the Red Sox, he’ll do some games when the Red Sox are nationally televised. The first game of the Spring Training season is a week from tomorrow against the Yankees and you can hear it right here, as well as the season opener, beginning an 11-game road trip to start the season, in Seattle against the Mariners on Thursday night March 28th Red Sox baseball all season long on MY-FM 101.3 and 1490 WMRC.
