S.A.F.E. Coalition Asks Franklin Town Council To Give A Presintation

By MyFM's Rick Michaels - A member of the Franklin Town Council and Board member for the local S.A.F.E Coalition says the group would like to make a presentation to the Council, as they get ready for an open house next month, to promote their new location. Franklin Town Councilor Robert Dellorco says the numbers when it comes to substance use are down in Norfolk County but not by a lot. The S.A.F.E. Coalition is made up of a group of volunteers, serving the towns of Franklin, Medway, Millis, Plainville, Norfolk as well as several other surrounding communities. S.A.F.E /stands for Support for Addicts and Families through Empowerment dedicated to providing support, education, treatment options and coping mechanisms for those affected by substance use and/or alcohol disorder.  Councilor Dellorco asked the Town Council to schedule a future date for the S.A.F.E. Coalition to make a presentation and talk about their new location on Dedham Street in Norfolk and how that will help provide better service and about the Open House on February 13th and Dellorco is hoping to have in attendance, State Representative Jeffrey Roy of Franklin, also a S.A.F.E. Board member as well as Senate President Karen Spilka and Congressman Joe Kennedy.
