Senate President Karen Spilka of Ashland will host a Statehouse event
By MyFM's Rick Michaels - Senate President Karen Spilka of Ashland held a Statehouse event Wednesday morning at which time the U.S. Army plans to showcase  innovations in soldier equipment and military technology. Spilka is hosting the event, along with State Senator Becca Rausch of Needham, both represent a part of Franklin and State Representative David Linsky of Natick. Brigadier General Vincent Malone, the deputy commanding general of the Combat Capabilities Development Command and senior commander of the Natick Soldiers System Center, will give opening remarks, followed by the director of Combat Capabilities Development Command at the Soldier Center in Natick. Spilka says attendees will get to see and taste samples of innovations in combat rations and learn about advances made in aerial resupply, physical augmentation, applied brain and cognitive science, virtual reality tools, neuro stimulation for enhanced soldier performance and  wireless communication.
