By MyFM's Rick Michaels - A seventh grade student from Stacy Middle School in Milford, has died from a flu-related illness, after spending four-days in the hospital. The 12-year old died Wednesday night at the Milford Regional Medical Center. Milford Superintendent of Schools Doctor Kevin McIntyre notified school and town officials yesterday morning he says the young boy, identified as Aaron Zenus, was a beloved member of the community grief counselors were made available to students and parents yesterday and will be available again today. Milford Board of Selectmen Chairman Michael Walsh spoke to the media, in front of the Police Station last night, saying Milford is hurting right now. The parents did what they thought was right, including having him get the flu shot and bringing him to the hospital when his conditions worsened. Public Health officials say the influenza activity is trending upward and the flu can be serious for children. This is the first flu-related pediatric death in Massachusetts this season.
