By MyFM's Rick Michaels - State Representative Jeffrey Roy of Franklin along with Lieutenant Governor Karyn Polito will present an educational discussion in Franklin Monday night, highlighting legislation relative to the distribution of sexually explicit images. Representative Roy and Lt. Governor Polito have filed legislation to help protect kids from the harmful effects of transmission of sexually explicit images by modernizing the laws, to reflect the realities of cyber bullying. The legislation will provide additional tools for law enforcement, combined with educational programs to address this behavior among teens and close a loophole in the current law, when this is done with the purpose of revenge or embarrassment. Roy and Polito will meet with residents to talk about the Sexually Explicit Images legislation first filed in 2017, coming up on Monday night at Franklin High School, from 6-8pm.
