By MyFM's Rick Michaels - Uxbridge residents will have fewer articles to vote on than was originally proposed when they attend tonight’s Spring Annual Town Meeting. The warrant contains 29-articles, however 13 articles are expected to be passed over tonight, including Capital purchases, the McCloskey School building and site repurposing study and the establishment of a drug awareness task force. However, Uxbridge residents will be voting amending the Zoning By-Law to increase the number of marijuana facilities allowed in town, if approved there would be no maximum on the number of cultivators, testing and research facilities, marijuana product manufacturers this would be exclusive of marijuana retailers or treatment centers. Voters will also decide whether to authorize the Board of Selectmen to enter into a payment in lieu of taxes agreement with a solar pilot project. The Uxbridge Spring Annual Town Meeting is set for tonight at the Valley Chapel Auditorium, beginning at seven o’clock.
