By MyFM's Rick Michaels - The Bellingham Board of Selectmen will hold a Public Hearing tonight as part of it’s regularly scheduled meeting to discuss and get input, on renewing the town’s successful Housing Rehabilitation Program. The town’s proposed application to the Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development for funding from it’s Fiscal Year 2019 CDF Program will be discussed. Bellingham is considering requesting up to $800,000 in Fiscal Year 2019 funds from this program, renewing the Housing Rehab Program and another project to install ADA compliant sidewalk ramps at selected intersections. Bellingham Selectmen who are now minus one selectman will also hear updates about several projects from the Director of the Department of Public Works. Following the resignation of Chairman Michael Soter last month after he won the election to represent Bellingham from the 8th Worcester District in the House. The board will operate with four selectmen until the May Election and until that time, Daniel Spencer will serve as Chairman.
