By MyFM's Rick Michaels - The first day nomination papers are available at the Milford Town Clerks Office, several residents take out papers and make their intentions known that they plan to run for town office. By the end of the day yesterday Selectman Chairman Michael Walsh took out nomination papers seeking another three-year term on the Board. Meanwhile two residents announced their decisions to run for one of the two-open seats on the School Committee, one being James Ligor, who’s seeking re-election to the Committee and also Michael Visconti will be running. On the Planning Board the five-year term of Joseph Calagione comes to an end this year, he also took out papers yesterday as did Joseph Arcudi to remain on the Board of Assessors and as one of the town of Milford’s constables. Nomination papers to run for town office in the April 2nd Town Election, are available until exactly one month from today, they must be returned with 50 or more signatures of registered voters, by February 12th.
