The Franklin Police Department Has Seen Increase, of telephone scams
By MyFM's Rick Michaels - The Franklin Police Department has recently seen an increase, of a wide variety of telephone scams, which is something most every town is dealing with at this time as police departments warn residents about these scams. Franklin Police Chief Thomas Lynch says the callers claim to be someone from the IRS, Social Security, your power company or someone calls to tell you a loved one is in trouble and needs bail money. Chief Lynch says there are a few easy tips to always remember, to identify a scam Chief Lynch says if you receive a call and believe it to be a scam simply hang-up. If you believe your personal information has been compromised or you may have been the victim of a scam, call the Franklin Police Department.
