By MyFM's Rick Michaels - The Milford Police Chief Selection Review Committee will meet tonight to finalize the job description and discuss in more detail, where to post the opening. At it's last meeting much time was spent on the wording when comes to the experience required to become the next Milford Police Chief, with the 12 member committee wanting to open the position up to as many as possible but at the same time, not to the point where you may end up with hundreds of unnecessary resumes. The committee decided to include in the job description the town is seeking a candidate who has served in a command supervisory position and who has five years of that experience, coming in the last ten years. Tonight members will review where to advertise the position and what will be the salary range for the next Police Chief in Milford. The process is moving along at this time following a controversial start, with Chairman of the Board of Selectmen Bill Buckley removing fellow Selectman Mike Walsh from the committee replacing him with his designee, Donna Niro a move that caused the first meeting to be adjourned with nothing accomplished while they sorted out, who should remain on the committee, Walsh or Niro.
